Spend a Relaxing Day at Hammock Shops Village in Pawleys Island

If you are looking for a spot in the Grand Strand area to spend a relaxing day, I highly recommend making a short drive South to The Hammock Shops Village in Pawleys Island.

I often hear folks say that this area is a bit lacking in culture, however I beg to differ. Especially when it comes to the South end of the Grand Strand. I feel there is much more Southern culture to be explored in the areas of Murrells Inlet and Pawleys Island. If you decide you'd like to venture out away from the resort town beach scene and immerse yourself in the rich history and beautiful atmosphere that this area has to offer, there is so much to discover.

The Hammock Shops Village is home to the Original Pawleys Island Rope Hammock, where you can still watch weavers working in their craft. This is a place where you can bring the family and spend your day browsing clothing, shoes, handcrafted collectibles and jewelry, coastal inspired treasures, wine, gifts, candy, art, gourmet kitchen items and more. Enjoy the beautifully landscaped gardens and sit a while by the fountain, let the kids play on the playground or grab a bite to eat. It's truly a gem.

I personally love to come here on a nice day and just walk around, occasionally wondering into a shop I've yet to visit. Each time I discover something new among the 25 shops and restaurants.
